Recipe: Cinnamon and banana oat slice

The perfect on-the-go brekkie or snack that has only 5 base ingredients! Trust us, you’ll have this recipe on repeat.

From beta-glucan-rich oats (an important gut-loving soluble fibre) to a healthy dose of cinnamon that’s excellent for blood sugar regulation – this slice helps sustain energy throughout the day.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter of choice)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats

Optional: 2 tbsp chia seeds – or you can feel free to add any extra nuts, seeds, berries or protein powder of choice to super boost the mix!

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC (fan-forced).
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Line a small deep dish baking tray with baking paper.
  4. Bake for 20-minutes, then set aside to cool.
  5. Keep stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
