Recipe: Cinnamon and banana oat slice
The perfect on-the-go brekkie or snack that has only 5 base ingredients! Trust us, you’ll have this recipe on repeat.
From beta-glucan-rich oats (an important gut-loving soluble fibre) to a healthy dose of cinnamon that’s excellent for blood sugar regulation – this slice helps sustain energy throughout the day.
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter of choice)
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
Optional: 2 tbsp chia seeds – or you can feel free to add any extra nuts, seeds, berries or protein powder of choice to super boost the mix!
Method:
Preheat oven to 180ºC (fan-forced).
Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Line a small deep dish baking tray with baking paper.
Bake for 20-minutes, then set aside to cool.
Keep stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
