Fitness is an essential part of health and wellbeing, and at Endeavour we want to see fitness instructors who can offer their skills and knowledge to everyone, no matter where they are, or how they like to be active.
Acquire the skills and knowledge to work with clients in a range of settings, whether you have access to a full commercial gym, a smaller home gym, or are supporting clients out in the community in places like parks, private homes, or community groups.
You’ll learn how to assess a clients’ current state of health and fitness, design programs that support them and their needs, and to train individuals in following a program you create for them, or leading groups through shared fitness activities.
You’ll additionally build your skills with a focus on operating a fitness business, giving you the skills for success in creating the fitness business that is best for you and your community.

Our course is designed to provide flexible study options for students in any location, allowing you to fit study around your life commitments. Units are completed one at a time through our online learning platform, with students able to choose the pace that best suits their needs and career goals. The maximum course duration is five years.
Students complete their learning online through the My.Endeavour learning portal, with practical activities undertaken in locations of their choice. This could include a commercial gym, community facilities, home gyms, or public spaces such as a park.
You will need access to a computer with internet access and a web browser. Most activities can also be completed on a tablet, though some tasks will require a laptop or desktop computer.
Our course focuses on developing skills that can be applied in any environment. Students will need access to equipment for cardiovascular, resistance and flexibility sessions, as well as physical assessment tools such as a heart rate monitor, blood pressure monitor, scales, tape measure, stopwatch, goniometer and mat. Access to a first aid kit and communication device is also required during skills demonstrations. This equipment can be obtained progressively throughout your studies. Access to all required texts is included in your learning resources.
Theory assessments are completed online through the My.Endeavour learning portal. These include a mix of written tasks such as multiple-choice questions, short answers and case studies. Practical assessments are completed in several units, requiring you to demonstrate your skills with volunteer clients, either via online workshop or video submission. There are no exams, deadlines or semesters.
