Acquire the skills and knowledge to work with allied health professionals such as dietitians, occupational therapists & physiotherapists, as well as practitioners like nutritionists. You’ll learnt to support people receiving care in a range of settings, including healthcare, aged care, disability services, and clinical settings.

You’ll learn how to empower persons undergoing care, work with diverse people, support relationships to carers and family, and assist in allied health and rehabilitation programs.

You’ll additionally build your skills with a focus on nutritional and dietetic support, assisting in the development of meals and menus that meet dietary and cultural needs, support food services, screen and manage nutritional risks and provide nutritional advice and education.

Entry Requirements

You are eligible to enrol into the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetic Support Specialisation) if you are:

  • At least 17 years of age and can demonstrate completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) or completion of a Certificate III.

  • 21 years of age or older, and can demonstrate at least 2 years of employment where numeracy and literacy is required to undertake the work.
