Dr. Jenny WilkinsonDirector of Education Biography Dr Jenny Wilkinson holds several qualifications in education leadership and science, along with over 25 years’ worth of experience working in the higher education field.Upon completing a Bachelor of Science and Honours in Physiology and Pharmacology, Jenny went on to achieve a PhD in Vertebrate Physiology and the role of heat shock proteins in caffeine's embryotoxicity. Following on from this, she went on to complete a Graduate Diploma Further Education & Training, Master in Higher Education (Leadership & Management), Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics and is currently studying a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (Quality Assurance).Prior to joining Endeavour as the Director of Education, Jenny held a multitude of positions at Charles Sturt University including Sub-Dean Research, Acting Head of School and Course Director working with various teams to develop courses which meet professional, institutional and student needs.Jenny’s primary research interest is in the pharmacology of essential oils, herbs and other plant-based products and the nexus between complementary and conventional healthcare, and she serves on editorial boards for several journals including BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, and Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Deirdre MathiasDirector of Student Services and Retention Biography Deirdre has a diverse background across Asia and Australia in operational management, with a focus on strategically building, managing and innovating service structures that add value to the customer and the business through operational integrity.Deirdre has worked with Endeavour for eight years in a variety of roles, and now sits in a strategic role leading all the service support departments. Across her time at the college she has been particularly focused on re engineering and improving the student experience and student engagement, with a focus on system improvement and delivering a service experience that engages, inspires, and supports the student body.
Sherri DuncanDirector, Clinic and Campus Operations Biography Sherri has been with Endeavour College of Natural Health since 2014, working across Clinic and Campus Management at the Perth Campus. Her experience led to a National Campus Manager Liaison role where she oversaw and managed all 6 Campus Managers and now Sherri’s position leads both Campus and Clinic Operations on a National scale.Sherri has worked in numerous corporate and hospitality environments ranging from the medical software industry to owning her own busy hole-in-the-wall café. Although she has had multifarious roles, one thing that attracts Sherri to the roles she takes on is the opportunity to give users/clients a superior experience. Sherri is passionate about individualising and adapting various situations to achieve harmony for all stakeholders.Undertaking a first-class honours degree in BA in Communication and Cultural Studies at Curtin University, Sherri has utilised her cultural knowledge and critical theory and applied it in the natural health industry through the clinic and campus setting. In addition to her BA, Sherri has done numerous short courses to broaden her knowledge in the operational environment which has helped in directing this newly amalgamated department.
Elissa HolswichNational Quality, Governance & Compliance Manager Biography Elissa is an experienced policy and compliance specialist, having worked in the field for over 12 years. With a degree in Behavioural Science, she started out in Human Resources roles but found she had an eye for detail and soon gained a role with the Queensland Office of Higher Education, the State higher education regulator where she worked as a Senior Policy Officer (case manager for higher education providers) for over 5 years.With the centralisation of higher education regulation in Melbourne through TEQSA, Elissa wanted to stay in Queensland and found herself working for one of her previous providers as the ‘internal regulator’, the National Compliance Manager for Endeavour College of Natural Health.After a year back in the government working with the international schooling regulation team and on a finance policy project, Elissa returned ‘home’ to Endeavour in early 2019 and has continued her earlier work liaising closely with TEQSA, ASQA, the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and other professional bodies to ensure that the College not only meets but exceeds industry and educational standards. Elissa’s daily goal in her work is to make a real difference to the life of students and staff by offering accurate and timely compliance, governance and policy advice, and building a team of experts to support the business and see it thrive.
Gabrielle HarrisAcademic Clinic Coordinator Naturopathic Medicine Melbourne (Naarm) Biography Gaby has been working as a consulting naturopath in her own clinic since graduating in 1999. She has been teaching since 2005 over a variety of subjects pertaining to the naturopathic degree and is now the Endeavour Naturopathic Academic Clinic Coordinator.
Kathleen DanielNational Educational Pathways Manager - Operational Staff Representative Biography Kathleen has a strong understanding of the processes involved in being a quality orientated and successful organisation, having worked in the fields of Accounting, Marketing, Law, Real Estate and as part owner and practitioner of Functional Health Naturopathic Centre. Kathleen has gained a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from the University of New England (UNE), after completing Advanced Diplomas in Naturopathy, Nutrition, Western Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy & Diplomas in Remedial Massage, Remedial Therapies and Aromatherapy. More recent qualifications include a CertIV in Training and Assessment and Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems.In the past 24 years Kathleen has gained significant standing in the area of education, administration and health, having started her career in education with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in administration, she achieved the position of Registrar/Office Manager, Director of Education and finally CEO of that RTO over a13 year period. The last 10 years she has worked with Endeavour College of Natural Health in the position of Curriculum Co-ordinator, Pathways co-ordinator and now as National Manager of Educational Pathways has developed and initiated for the College an efficient and successful Educational Pathways department including online credit information via the Articulation Abacus, she is a respected part of the VET Advisory Board, Academic Discipline Councils and Academic Council of the College.
