Tea Blending Workshop - Sydney #1

May 24, 2021 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. AEST

Join Endeavour lecturer and tea enthusiast Glenise McLaughlin, as she facilitates a tea blending workshop.

About the Workshop

Hi, my name is Glenise McLaughlin and I am a Naturopath with over 26 years clinical experience and have been teaching here at Endeavour for over 6 years now. I just love herbal teas. They are so under rated for their therapeutic effects. At last, I have found a way to show you the wonders of drinking/prescribing herbal teas.

The Herbal Tea Workshop is for you if you have ever wondered about how to prescribe or formulate or even drink herbal teas. Or what do they taste like? What therapeutic actions do they have? Now is your chance to experience this for yourself. We are going to have some fun together and you get to meet some of your peers and have a laugh or two. There is even a lucky door prize (or two), but you have to be at the Workshop to win it. We are going to finish off the workshop with some tastings and some afternoon tea. Sounds like fun doesn’t it? Book now to avoid disappointment.

What you will learn:

  • A brief history of herbal tea
  • The benefits and some contra-indications and some research
  • How to compile a herbal tea formula/structure
  • You will see and taste tea blends for:
  • Stress/anxiety
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Constipation
  • Immune booster
  • Cold/flu blends
  • Even some blends for children for sleep, stress, gas/wind etc
  • Topical applications: healing skin, conjunctivitis/eyes
  • Healing baths blends

We have dedicated some time for you to have time to make/design your own tea blend.

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have limited spots available (first in, best dressed). If you are no longer able to attend, please email connect@endeavour.edu.au to ensure that someone else has the opportunity to take your place. This is an Endeavour student exclusive event.
