Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace, and balance, which is good for your emotional health and overall well-being. You can also use it to relax and manage stress by focusing on something calm. Meditation can help you learn to stay focused and maintain inner peace. Learn more about the science of stress and how stress affects and the endocrine system. Stress is a common and normal bodily response to challenges or new situations and can have both mental and physical aspects.

In this session we will cover: The stress response starts in your brain, Stress and the endocrine system and includes a mindfulness of breathing meditation.

About Paul McCann
Paul began his career in natural health 30 years ago and over this time has studied a wide variety of techniques including massage, myotherapy, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, meditation & mindfulness and breathwork. He worked in clinical practice for 25 years and has been teaching at Endeavour College of Natural Health for 12 years. Paul provides teaching in mindfulness and meditation to Endeavour College staff and is so pleased to be extending this to students. Research is now demonstrating how these techniques positively support students’ mental health and wellbeing and support students to be more successful in their studies. With a little as 5 minutes a day, meditation can change your nervous and hormonal systems to create better health and wellbeing. So join Paul for a journey through some of the research explaining these processes and also a guided meditation so you can start to benefit from these changes.
