Oral health is a significant contributor to the burden of disease in Australia, with oral diseases among the most common and costly to our society. Oral conditions are the third highest cause of preventable hospital admissions, with more than 63,000 Australians hospitalised each year. National expenditure in Australia on oral health ranks second highest after cardiovascular disease at $8.3 billion (2012–13). (RACGP – OH16).
Join Dr Ron Ehrlich as he highlights how understanding the dynamics of the oral cavity and oral diseases and imbalances, new insights can be gained, and common treatments for patients can be more effective and complementary to other treatment protocols.
About the presenter
Dr Ron Ehrlich is a co-founder and dentist at Sydney Holistic Dental Care. He is also well known for being a Health & Wellness Advocate, Podcaster and Author.
Ron’s approach is to convert information into knowledge and confusion into clarity with his current focus on health professionals and delivering corporate wellness programs. He aims to empower individuals to understand the health issues so as to fully realise their own health potential as he has a unique view on how oral health and stress impacts on an individual. Stress is best understood as a combination of nutritional, emotional, structural, environmental and oral health factors.
Ron has delivered lectures and workshops in Australia and the UK to health professionals and the public.
