Year 12 or equivalent (OP/ATAR score not required)
Mature age students (21 years or over) who have not completed Year 12 and who have relevant study, work and / or life experience that indicates they would be able to manage the level of coursework required.
Evidence requested may include a curriculum vitae (CV) that documents broadly relevant work experience, professional references, evidence of informal or non-formal study that is completed or partially completed, or a written submission demonstrating they are a reasonable prospect for success.
Applicants unable to provide evidence of Year 12 completion or successful completion of at least 1 year of tertiary study must achieve competency in Exit Level 3 score and working at Level 4 within the Australian Core Skills Framework assessments in Reading and Numeracy.
All students must obtain a valid and current first aid certificate and relevant State Working with Children check, which may include a criminal history check in some states.
Speakers of English as a second language are required to provide evidence of English proficiency equivalent to a level 6.0 (IELTS) prior to admission to this course

This course is provides a great entry point for students wanting to “test the waters” with a career as a massage therapist. It is also a great option for students looking to enhance a current profession.
One of the biggest advantage of completing the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy is that you’ll be generating an income as a massage therapist in 6 months (FT).
It is important to note that practitioners with HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy do not qualify for health fund rebates. To qualify for a health fund rebate provider number you will need a HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Some subjects are only delivered online only, these subjects are theory based and are required knowledge prior to your campus visit. The delivery through our quality online platform and our campus based classroom will provide you will an exceptional education and an outstanding experience.

Students will spend a minimum of 90 hours in clinic.
Contact hours listed are indicative of on campus hours required (for on campus units) or hours of study in the online mode expected (for online units). There will be additional online study required to support your learning in each on campus unit that may include videos, recommended readings, pre-reading for class etc. Your Trainer and Assessor will discuss online requirements of each unit at the beginning of the Term, and the expectations of online study can also be found in the unit of study outline.

If you have fully completed a HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy with us (or another provider), you may receive advanced standing towards a a HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage with us and then eventually towards your Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) degree via our Educational Pathways process.
