Commonwealth Supported Places for Undergraduate Certificates

ATMS members pay as little as $500*

During the peak of the pandemic, the Australian Government introduced their higher education relief package. This initiative was developed to support workers displaced by the crisis to upskill or retrain, while supporting universities and other higher education providers to continue teaching. The Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) scheme was part of this initiative, and Endeavour College of Natural Health secured more than 200 of these places.

What is the Commonwealth Supported Place scheme

A Commonwealth Supported Place is a place at a university or higher education provider where the government pays part of your fees. This part is a subsidy – not a loan – and you don't have to pay it back. This subsidy does not cover the entire cost of your study. Students must pay the remainder as a 'student contribution amount’ and the amount must be paid by the census date for the subject.

We still have 115 places to offer in 2021 and as part of a special promotion, we are providing an even further cost savings for ATMS members.

Special promotion for ATMS members

Endeavour has 115 spots left across two short courses and we are offering a reduced price for ATMS members who apply in 2021. With your current experience, an Undergraduate Certificate may be achievable with as little as completing one or two subjects and count toward a full course, as well as CPE for ATMS members.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a CSP, students must be:

  • an Australian citizen, who will live and study in Australia for some of the course; or
  • a New Zealand citizen, who will live and study in Australia for the whole course; or
  • a permanent visa holder, who will live and study in Australia for the whole course

Being eligible for a CSP does not necessarily mean that you will be offered a place, as each course has its own entry requirements and Endeavour College only has a limited number of CSPs to offer.

Undergraduate Certificates on offer

We have two short courses approved under the scheme – both of which have a six-month duration and can be completed entirely online. A minimum of one subject must be completed to be awarded these Higher Education Certificates.

As health professionals, ATMS members may be eligible for a number of credits towards either of these qualifications. Ask us how you can get the credits you deserve.

Undergraduate Certificate in Human Biology

This course enables students to gain a comprehensive understanding of human biology, human anatomy, chemistry and biochemistry and provides an opportunity to develop critical thinking skills required for higher education study. Graduates of this certificate can pathway directly into Endeavour Health Science degrees or may use it to seek credits into another medical, nursing or allied health qualification.

This course suits ATMS members looking to upskill their human biology and communications skills.

Subjects include:

  • Human Biological Science 1
  • Human Biological Science 2
  • Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Foundations of Critical Enquiry

As part of this special promotion, Endeavour is offering ATMS members a further cost savings by reducing the out-of-pocket expense to $500 per subject. This student contribution amount may be deferred to FEE-HELP if a student is eligible.

Undergraduate Certificate in Building Health Through Nutrition

This certificate allows students to obtain a comprehensive understanding of human nutrition and introduces students to food-based science, including food spoilage, food additives and natural toxins.

Given the more advanced nature of these subjects, this course is available exclusively to health practitioners and is ideal for ATMS members looking to fulfil CPE requirements.

Subjects include:

  • Medicinal Food Science
  • Foundations of Human Nutrition
  • Dietary Planning across the Lifespan

Elective

  • Sports Nutrition or
