The Role

CHEF Plant-based & Wholefood We are a retail store & CAFÉ with a mission to make wholesome, natural, and local products more accessible for our community by sourcing sustainable, ethical, and local first. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is incredibly organized, has great attention to detail and enjoys the rush of a busy café. The Role - Permanent part-time or full-time - Start ASAP - Based in Narre Warren VIC - All aspects of preparation and cooking - Execution of recipes and beautiful plating - Contribute ideas for improvement, specials and seasonal menu - Correct storage, replenishing and rotating stock - Maintain exceptional food hygiene practices - Cleaning of equipment and kitchen area - Cost control and meet targets Your Skills, Experience and Attributes - Min 2 years’ experience in a similar role - Ability to run a smooth service - Sound understanding of kitchen skills - Interest in wholefood, healthy lifestyle and food provenance - Even temperament and keen team player - Ability to self-motivate, implement and take ownership - Professional manner and excellent communication skills What we offer - Opportunity for good work-life balance with flexible hours - Generous employee discounts - Paid time to participate in volunteering - A wonderful friendly team - Work together for the greater good
