Endeavour Mentorship Program

Applications are now open for manual therapy and acupuncture graduates to join an exclusive mentorship program throughout February 2017.

Want to increase your experience and employability? The Endeavour Mentorship Program will take place across four weeks in February 2017 and give you access to industry leading mentors.

Graduates have the opportunity to choose a specific goal to work towards across the 4-week program, as negotiated with their mentor. You may choose to build your knowledge in a particular area, your clinical reasoning or a specific skill throughout the program (within the scope of your practice).

In addition to the invaluable experience, each graduate will be provided a certificate upon full completion of the Mentorship Program.

Mentorship details

The Endeavour Mentorship Program will run at the same time each week within the Wellnation Clinic on your local Endeavour campus. Attendance at all four sessions is required, alongside a 1-hour orientation session in Week 1. All graduates will have a 30-minute one-on-one appointment scheduled prior to their first session to set an initial goal (or goals) — days and times of this initial meeting will vary according to both mentee and mentor availability.

You will be allocated a treatment room from which to treat (linen provided), and you may use both the consumables and non-consumables that are provided for use in the standard student clinics. While there is a relatively large range or equipment and consumables, this varies somewhat from campus to campus and many not be specific to your needs. If you have questions regarding what equipment or consumables we hold, please let us know. In some instances, you may be able to bring your own equipment or consumables as negotiated in advance. Please note that you may only use equipment that is within your scope of practice. The Mentorship Program is not designed to expand scope of practice but to advance existing knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning.

While Wellnation Clinics are fully functional clinics that receive their own client bookings, there is no guarantee that your schedule will be fully booked. Paper cases and discussion to further your goals will be planned for times when clients are not be present. You are welcome to bring your own client to treat (at usual cost to client) if there is a specific condition that they would like to work on. If so, this client must be formally booked through the Wellnation Clinics booking system. Please notify your mentor in your initial goal setting session if this is your preference. All money received for client appointments throughout the program is retained by Wellnation Clinics.

As the mentorship runs within a public clinic, all legal requirements apply including confidentiality, duty of care and record keeping.

While there is no specific uniform required to treat in the Wellnation Clinics, professional attire and closed in leather shoes (or similar material, not canvas or sports shoe material) is required. Graduates are not permitted to wear clothing containing the logo of another clinic.
