Provide and coordinate high level administrative support to the Director of Education and Academic Departments.

The opportunity

Work with the Academic Departments to coordinate the administrative processes and systems to support student management and project management for the Academic departments. This position, in consultation with the Director of Education and Head of Teaching and Learning, will lead and participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement projects.

Key activities of this role will include:

  • Provide secretariat functions for academic committees (e.g. Academic discipline Committee, Examiners Committee)
  • In consultation with the Director of Education, Head of Teaching and Learning, and Heads of Department prepare documents for governance committee meetings
  • Management of academic student enquiries submitted via Academic Assistance tickets
  • Liaise with the Director of Education and other key stakeholders to resolve exceptions to standard academic administration processes and provide advice on risks and/or improvements.
  • In consultation with the Director of Education and Head of Teaching and Learning engage in quality management and continuous improvement processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Director of Education.

This role is being offered as a full time, permanent basis, preferably based at our Melbourne campus.

The following qualifications, skills and experience will support your success in this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business highly desirable
  • Significant demonstrated senior administration experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience producing high quality documents and communications.
  • High level of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills and data analytical skills/experience; experience with SharePoint platform and ability to perform moderately complex data analysis in Excel highly desirable.
  • Management of meeting agendas and meetings
