The ultimate morning smoothie: So green it glows

Learn how to make one of our favourite green smoothies, packed with superfoods.

As we know many people in our community enjoy smoothies as part of their morning ritual, we wanted to share one of our favourite recipes with you. This recipe comes courtesy of naturopath and Endeavour College of Natural Health lecturer Sandy Davidson, and was a hit when served in shot glasses at the College's recent Open Day in Sydney.

This delicious smoothie is packed with superfoods – we couldn't fit in more greens if we tried! There's something reassuring that comes with knowing you've already had a serving of vegetables before lunchtime, don't you think? 

1 and a half cups water
1 head organic romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 head of large bunch or 3/4 small bunch organic spinach or kale
3-4 stalks organic celery
1 organic apple, cored and chopped
1 organic pear, cored and chopped
1 organic banana
Juice of 1/2 organic lemon

Blend and serve.
