It’s Naturopathy to a Tea

Naturopathy to a tea

Like many of us, Endeavour alumni, Emma Watson shares her passion for a good cup of tea. What first started as a passion which led her to her studies, soon grew into running a successful and growing business – Love Tea.

To create certified ‘organic’ tea the ingredients are grown naturally – at every stage of the production and all the way from plantation to your cup. It is a mission to achieve this and a fair trade standard but Emma Watson can testify it is worth the work. Emma was in her second year of Naturopathy studies when she became consumed by the idea of making her own herbal teas. When Emma crossed paths with her future business partner and now husband Damien Amos, all she could talk about (over a cup of tea, of course) was her hope of creating a tea line based on the health principles she was learning at Endeavour College. Damien enrolled in the course and joined in on the adventure.

“Our vision is to give tea drinkers the opportunity to improve their health and take care of any areas of weakness, focusing more on prevention rather than cure,” she says.

Since graduating from Endeavour College they have built a range of over 40 organic, fair trade tea blends, secured more than 250 stockists around the country and created a thriving online business for their naturopathic range.

“In the past year we have launched a new range of teas and a range of pyramid tea bags, employed more staff, moved warehouse, and the number of stores we supply has almost doubled.”

Love Teas offer a huge range of herbal teas all formulated specifically to support the body from the inside out. Their range includes breastfeeding tea, sleep teas, pregnancy teas, vitality teas and everything in between. For now, Emma’s focus is on her growing business and her family, however, she hopes to practise again soon. Emma teaches us that through passion, knowledge and hard work, anything can be achieved.

Upon graduating, many Naturopaths choose to work independently in a private practice. However, there are many other job opportunities outside of the clinical practice including working as an educator in a college or a university, working in research or in product development, either for another company or on their own formulated product. Or, as in Emma’s case, starting a thriving health brand. The options are endless!
