What is VET FEE-HELP?

VET FEE-HELP is a student loan scheme for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector that is part of the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). VET FEE-HELP assists eligible students undertaking certain VET courses of study (diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate and graduate diploma courses) with an approved VET provider, to pay for all or part of their tuition costs. A VET provider is a registered training organisation (such as Endeavour College) that has been approved by the Australian Government to offer VET FEE-HELP assistance to their students.

Student Applications

Endeavour College will assist students to apply for VET FEE HELP by confirming their eligibility and providing them with the VET FEE-HELP Information booklet and hard copy Request for VET FEE-HELP assistance form.

Students must read the Information booklet before completing and signing the assistance form together with their course enrolment form available from the College.

The student must return the signed and completed form to Endeavour College on or before the census date for the first subject of study for which they wish to obtain VET FEE-HELP assistance. If a student does not submit a completed Request for VET FEE-HELP assistance form on or before the census date for the subject, they will not be entitled to VET FEE-HELP assistance for that subject.

If students are eligible, they may borrow funds up to the lifetime VET FEE-HELP limit to help pay for all or part of the course fees. In 2011, the VET FEE-HELP loan limit is $86,422. This amount is indexed on 1 January each year. There is up to a 20% loan fee that applies to VET FEE-HELP loans. The VET FEE-HELP loan limit does not include the loan fee.
