Scholarship of discovery

The scholarship of discovery contributes to new knowledge through a demonstration of a commitment to knowledge for its own sake. Work in this area involves following an investigation, in a disciplined fashion, wherever it may lead. Examples of evidence of this type of scholarship includes original research publications, research projects (including grants awarded), and presentations at research conferences.
