Research Capacity Building and Staff Support

As part of the research capacity building priority for the Office of Research, a number of initiatives and programs are in place at the College to support research skills development and activities with both academic staff and the broader practitioner and student community.

Research Endeavours

Research Endeavours are short 30 minute presentations which are run regularly on different Endeavours campuses nationally. These sessions are delivered either by Endeavour staff or invited guests through which they present the results of a research project. Research Intensives

Research Intensives are skills development workshops which are delivered in real time via Lync across all campuses nationally. These workshops are facilitated by skilled and experienced researchers with the intention of providing participants with specific skills necessary to undertake and complete quality research projects. Staff Research Conference Fund

The Research Conference Fund is available to all permanent staff and contract academics (priority given to permanent staff) who are enrolled in a postgraduate course with a research component as a contribution towards costs for travel to a national or international conference to present the findings of their research. The grant will be permitted to cover travel, accommodation and registration costs directly related to the location and duration of the conference. Staff Collaborative Research and Mentoring Fund

This fund is available to permanent staff and contract academics of the College who are enrolled in research higher degree, with priority given to permanent staff. The purpose of this fund is to enable and facilitate academics who would benefit from intensive collaboration or mentorship with national or international experts in their field of research for up to 90 days. The fund will be permitted to cover travel, accommodation and resources as necessary. Staff will be further supported by releasing them from their duties through granting Extraordinary Professional Development Leave. Research Publication Fund

This award is a financial acknowledgement to non-research only academics who publish research in a peer-reviewed journal and list their affiliation with the College. Authors will be required to submit an application for the award to the Office of Research for approval. The award will only be paid once evidence of the publication which fulfils the requirements is made available and approved by the Office of Research.
