Bachelor of Health Science (Western Herbal Medicine)

Western Herbal Medicine is the study and use of medicinal herbs to prevent and treat diseases or to promote health and wellbeing.

The Western Herbal Medicine practitioner prescribes herbal medicine treatments in a variety of forms (tinctures, tablets/capsules, teas, ointments/creams) and provides basic dietary guidelines to manage a wide range of health conditions.

Graduates may apply for membership of the following professional associations:

• Australian Natural Therapists Association
• Australian Traditional Medicine Society

Industry standards are changing with regards to online learning. Please remain aware of any changes that are required by associations.
