Carolyn Barker AM leads the Endeavour College of Natural Health. Endeavour has six campuses in Australia and two in New Zealand, 8,000 students and a large clinic network throughout Australia, which services tens of thousands of patients annually.
In her current role she champions complementary medicine and its role in integrative medical practice and preventative care in the context of the broader health and wellness sector.
It is believed that the Endeavour Learning Group is the largest educator of its type in the natural health sector in the world. Under Carolyn’s leadership, Endeavour is positioning itself to seek University status in the future.
Previously Carolyn was the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Management and Founder and Managing Director of TheCyberInstitute Pty Ltd.
Over the decade Carolyn was with the AIM Group, the organisation grew into a cohesive network of commercially focused divisions, providing education, publishing, online learning and information services to corporate and government clients Australia-wide.
Carolyn started her career as a journalist and newsreader, after which she owned and operated businesses in the advertising, marketing and professional services sectors.
Carolyn is an experienced company director. Currently she is Chair of Brisbane City Council’s Brisbane Transport Board and a member of BCC’s Audit Committee. She is a director of the listed company Shine Corporate and a director of MIGAS.
Through the 2000’s Carolyn was the Chair of The Queensland Orchestra, the Brisbane City Council's Business Advisory Board and Deputy Chair of the Brisbane Powerhouse Centre for Live Arts.
In 2002 Carolyn was made QUT Business School’s Alumni of the Year. In 2005 she was awarded a Member in the Order of Australia (AM) for her service to business and the arts. Carolyn is an Adjunct Professor in Business at Griffith University.

Dr Melisa Rangitakatu is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and has been actively involved in Holistic Nursing in the United States and Australia. She has taught in Master’s and undergraduate nursing programs in California, Hawai’i and Queensland and has practiced as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner across the spectrum of acute critical care, neurology and primary care.
Dr Melisa is recognised as an international expert in Women’s Mental Health, serving as an expert reviewer for the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing. She was nominated by her U.S. peers to the National Society of Leadership and Success, and has served across numerous committees for the advancement of nursing, research and complementary health. Dr Melisa has been a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, Australian College of Nurse Practitioners, Australian College of Nursing, Australian Hypnotherapists Association and is a credentialed Family Nurse Practitioner through the prestigious American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Based on the Melbourne campus, Dr Melisa joined Endeavour in July 2014 as the Senior Lecturer of Social Sciences before becoming the Program Leader of Health Sciences, and she took up the role of Director of Education in May 2016. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Master of Science Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Hawai’i Pacific University in addition to her undergraduate nursing degree and studies in psychology and healing touch.
Jennifer leads a specialist team focused on student engagement and retention and the delivery of engaging online learning. Her role encompasses the management the Office of Student Records, the National Timetabling Unit and the National Examination Unit including daily administration of Online Learning, Educational Technologies and e-Learning support. Jennifer also oversees all formal student grievances.
Jennifer has over 13 years clinical experience in professional practice as a Homeopath and has taught with the College for more than 6 years in both Homeopathy and Health Sciences.
Jennifer has a Graduate Certificate in Education from University of Queensland and is currently undertaking her Graduate Certificate in Professional Management from the Australian Institute of Management.
Jennifer is currently based in our Brisbane campus.
